LITTLE GREEN LANE DEVELOPMENT

The Lib Dem team is standing by the decision to refuse a planning application for 600 homes north of Little Green Lane. The developer is attempting to overturn the decision. The application is likely to go to a Public Inquiry. Supported by other parties, Lib Dems Steve Drury, Paul Rainbow and Chris Lloyd will stand up to their choice to protect green spaces. Here’s why: 1. Inappropriate development in the Green Belt, causing actual harm to openness and conflicting with two of the Green Belt’s core purposes 2. Damage to Ancient Woodland, with further use likely to cause deterioration within and adjacent to the site 3. Failure to guarantee essential services such as healthcare provision and other community benefits We, those signed, support Three Rivers Council’s reasons for refusing the proposal for 600 homes north of Little Green Lane. We support the Local Plan, which excludes this site for the same reasons.
